Shop / apsmile lightweight all season feathers down comforter
This white goose feather pillow is carefully filled in Canada. The outer shell is made of crisp 255 thread count cotton. The pillow is filled with goose feather, which provides great support due to the feather quills. While feather pillows do have some give, they'll cradle your head more than a sinking, squishy down pillow. The Soft version is supportive but flatter, and works for front and back sleepers. The Medium version is relatively full and supportive, and works for all sleeping positions. The Firm version is quite supportive and puffy, so it's best for side sleepers.
This goose feather duvet is available in various sizes - Twin (64" x 86", 45 oz), Double (78" x 86", 56 oz), Queen (88" x 90", 65 oz), and King (102" x 90", 74 oz). It is made with goose feather fill. Feathers have some nice heft to them, with a hard quill and soft fibers branching off the quill shaft. The shell is 233 thread count 100% cotton, which is crisp and durable. 233 thread count is crisp and starchy, making a rustling noise when moved. For softer, quieter fabric, look for a thread count of 300 or above. The duvet has corner loops on all 4 corners to tie and anchor it in place. It is filled with small white goose feathers to provide better lofting and insulation. Feather doesn't have the same insulating properties as down, so feather duvets are heavier weight - we need a fair bit of fill to achieve the desired warmth. This duvet comes in All Season Weight, which works well for room temperatures around 16 - 18 degrees C or if you're fairly cool when you sleep.
Compared to down duvets, there are a few key differences in feather duvets. First, the look and feel of the fill - feathers consist of a hard quill shaft with fibers extending from each side, while down has no quill and consists of fluffy filaments. Second, down quality is measured by loft (fill power), which is not used for feather products. Third, down has excellent insulating properties, so down duvets are quite light, while feather doesn't have the same insulating properties, making feather duvets heavier. Finally, down is a scarcer, higher-performance material than feather, so it is more expensive.
